We are delighted to welcome a new member to the Fondation’s Board of Directors, David Caméo, who is an expert in applied arts.
David Caméo was technical advisor for museums, plastic arts and the development of arts education to the French Minister of Culture Catherine Trautmann (1998-2000), technical advisor for museums and plastic arts to Catherine Tasca (2000-2001), and technical advisor for culture to Prime Minister Lionel Jospin (2001-2002). In 2002 he was appointed Inspector General for artistic creation, arts education and cultural action.
In 2003 David Caméo was appointed Managing Director of Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, then in 2010 of the public institution Cité de la Céramique-Sèvres (which in 2012 became Cité de la Céramique-Sèvres et Limoges), before leaving in 2014 to become Managing Director of the Arts Décoratifs museum.
The Prix de perfectionnement aux métiers d’art, savoir-faire en transmission, are awarded each year by the City of Paris.
On January 11th, 2018, Caroline Martin-Rilhac and Hervé Dumesny, on behalf of Fondation Rémy Cointreau, participated in the Jury for the Prix Avenir des Métiers d’Art national 2017 – level IV and V – at the Institut National Métiers d’Art.
