PARTNERSHIP

During the health crisis due to Covid-19, the Fondation Rémy Cointreau teams up with Trousse à projets to fight against school dropout.
The Fondation Rémy Cointreau is pleased to support the project, to reduce the digital divide, carried by the Trousse à projets: “100% of f @ milies connected”, a new initiative to fight school dropouts in the context of the crisis triggered by the Covid-19 epidemic.
With a mission to act in favor of the terroirs in their cultural, human and environmental expression, the Fondation Rémy Cointreau partners with la Trousse à projets (Project Kit) , crowdfunding platform dedicated to educational projects.
The closure of schools since March 17, 2020, in a context of confinement of the population, has highlighted the major difficulties encountered by many students from very modest social backgrounds to maintain an educational relationship with their teachers. This difficulty, largely linked to the absence of any computer equipment in the family’s home, widens educational inequalities with a high risk of increase in dropping out directly correlated with the families’ poverty situation.
By supporting this approach towards professional and technical high schools preparing for the professions of tomorrow, the Fondation Rémy Cointreau wishes to contribute to the success of the project consisting in participating in the acquisition of basic IT equipment and services (PCs, tablets, subscriptions for a good connection, software and applications, supplies of cartridges for printing). This equipment will be supplied by local public educational establishments and school cooperatives, for the benefit of families who are deprived of it, on the basis of needs identified by the heads of establishments supported by social workers from National Education, in using the Trousse à projets Platform approved by the French Ministry of National Education and Solidarity.
The French Ministry of National Education and Solidarity estimates that between 170,000 and 200,000 families are in a situation of digital disconnection for all of metropolitan France and overseas.
On April, 7th, 2023, Fondation Rémy Cointreau attended the reward ceremony of the French “Prix Avenir Métier d’Art” organized by Institut National des Métiers d’Art (INMA) at the French Ministry of Education in Paris.
This year, the Grands Prix de la Creation de la Ville de Paris’ awards, organised by Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d’Art, took place at Hotel de Ville de Paris.
