Marie-Anne Thieffry – Lace-maker and cardboard sculptor, has been creating a website

The lockdown allowed Marie-Anne Thieffry to understand the need to relay her craft in another channel than exhibitions.

Projects are not lacking. Without exhibitions, Marie-Anne goes on responding to requests and sending her work. The craftswoman wishes to exchange and share her techniques at the maximum. Therefore, she opened this year her studio for interns to learn the carton lace savoir-faire.

This is on her new website that she puts her online shop and the possibility to register for a practical training : www.marieannethieffry.com

To Marie-Anne, this picture is the best representation of what we are living: « Gardians, made with beechwood and cardboard, were the first lockdown realisation. I probably needed protection. »

Watching with the eyes is great. Touching with the hands is better. Marie-Anne Thieffry is preparing the Salon Révélations in June 2021, expecting it will take place.
