The Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d’Art has awarded the laureats 2022 of the Prix Savoir-faire en transmission the 10th of March 2022. Fondation Rémy Cointreau has been supporting this prize for 4 years. Caroline Martin-Rilhac was a member of the jury and was there for the event.
The Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d’Art, or BDMMA, executes the approach of the city of Paris in favor of fine crafts. This ecosystem guides the fine crafts professionals and proposes them a network. Three prizes are given each year : Grands Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris, Prix Savoir-faire en transmission, and the label Fabriqué Paris.
This year, the Prix Savoir-faire en transmission took place at Hôtel de Ville of Paris. They have reunited all the laureats in the presence of Olivia Polski, assistant of the mayor of Paris in charge of business, crafts, freelance, fine crafts and fashion.
The objective of the prize is about encouraging the fine crafts companies and training apprentices for one year. Those apprentices are at the heart of the learning process of their know-how and of the company organisation. Those prizes insure the transmission and the durability of the fine crafts trades.
Among the laureats of the 2022 edition, Clémence has joined the Atelier Monier thanks to the Prix Savoir-faire en transmission. Louis Monier has been supporting by Fondation Rémy Cointreau since 2021. He is specialised in seat carpentry, and he will teach this know-how to Clemence through seat conception and realisation. This know-how is less and less taught. Thanks to this training, the durability of this fine crafts profession will be assured.
A lot of laureats has received the Prix Savoir-faire en transmission in 2021 and some of the apprentices has joined the workshop of Fondation Rémy Cointreau’s laureates: Nina Fradet has joined the workshop of Bernard Mauffret, Agathe Ruelland Rémy has joined the workshop of Laurel Parker and Jenna Broult the workshop of William Amor.
